The main walkway in Central Park at dusk on a fall evening. A scene I’ve painted several times, and yet it never comes out the same. A view one could never get tired of.
I’ve used buttery yellows and golds to highlight the sky, with warm orange red and corals for the changing leaves. The trees are in a dark taupe green with hints of blues purple and teals in the shadows and highlights. The glowing lamp posts seem to shimmer as the day gives way to night. A welcoming path through the park.
